This weekend we went to a farm by us and picked sunflowers so I thought it would be fun to do a little sunflower study as we ease back into school.
Sunflower Anatomy
The sunflower anatomy download includes a poster of the anatomy of a sunflower, one that has words to trace and one that is a cut and paste. The tracing sheet and the cut and paste can both be made reusable by laminating. I normally put velcro on the cut and pastes to make them easy to use and the tracing can be used with dry erase markers after laminating.
Sunflower Life Cycle 3-Part Cards
This sunflower 3 part cards feature the sunflower life cycle. I’ve made many different sets of these cards and my kids always love using them.
Sunflower Life Cycle Poster & Cut and Paste
This coordinate well with the sunflower life cycle 3 part cards above. The download includes a poster of the life cycle and also a cut and paste. Just like the anatomy ones above, the cut and paste can be made reusable by laminating and works great with velcro.
Sunflower Letter Tiles/Say it, Build it, Write it/ Sight Word Cards
These can be used for so many different activities. This morning we used them for Purplelicious to build her name and practice writing it. She has written her name for a long time, but has always written in all caps so today we started to work on writing it with lowercase letters. She did great and loves using anything with dry erase markers. We also used the letter tiles to build and read -at words today. Animal Lover used the word cards and Say it, Build it, Write it to practice sight words. This set comes with the first 100 sight words from the Fry list. These work great laminated or put into one of these tracing pockets.

Hi! These resources are wonderful, thank you! I found the Sunflower life cycle poster link actually leads to sunflower anatomy. I’m wondering if it’s possible to connect to the life cycle poster? It would be a huge asset for my daughter’s current interest! Thank you!
