Spring is my favorite season, and I’m so glad it’s here. I love everything about it- warmer weather, things starting to grow, my birthday with my cousin Colleen, Easter -everything. It just puts me in a better mood. Although we’re still studying Space, I just had to add some Spring activities to our days anyway.

Spring Sight Word Cards

We’re using these sight word cards with a “Say it, build it, write it” sheet, but you could use them in lots of different ways.

  • print out two copies and make a matching game
  • play a “sightword slap” game- lay out all the cards and call out one and have the kids slap the correct one
  • laminate and stick in a sensory bin

The Say it, Build it, Write it sheet works best laminated so you can use a dry erase marker or in a page protector or one of these. For the build it section you can use wooden letter tiles (we love these ones), magnetic letters or the printable ones I have in the next section. You could even use playdough or wikki stix for something extra fun.

Spring Letter Tiles

These spring letter tiles work great to build words with the Say it Build it, Write it sheet above but could be used in lots of different ways as well.

  • matching the upper and lowercase letters
  • building words
  • working on letter sounds (have the lowercase spread out and say a letter sound ask the child to find which letter makes that sound)

Flowers 3-Part Cards

I absolutely love these flower 3 part cards! I made another version of these a couple years ago but they must have been on my old computer because I couldn’t find the file so I made some new ones. They coordinate perfectly with the flower TOOB from Safari Ltd. I used these when I taught K at the hybrid during our stations time and the kids always loved them.

Spring Dot Math

These 4 sheets have addition to 10 and work great with dot markers. I made these so that the kids can decide what color they want to stamp each number. We’ve also used dot stickers. For a reusable version, I found some floral gems like these. I got ours from the dollar tree though, and they work great.

Spring Dot Art

These dot art pages are the same patterns as above but just blank so even the youngest can enjoy them. They also work great with dot markers like the above, or can be used with dot stickers for some extra fine motor work.

Bean Plant Life Cycle & 3-Part Cards

This was another one that I made before and couldn’t find, so had to make a new updated version.😆These coordinate perfectly with the Bean Plant Life Cycle set for Safari Ltd.

Spring Patterns

These can be used as a cut in paste for single use, but I normally cut the pieces out and then laminate them so they can be reused.

Spring Sorting- color & shape

These can be used as a cut in paste for single use, but I normally cut the pieces out and then laminate them so they can be reused.

Spring Alphabet Cards

These cards have all the letters of the alphabet and a coordinating spring themed picture for each letter.

Spring Ending Sound Cut & Paste

This cut and paste has spring themed items that either end with “n” or “t”.
