It’s pretty challenging to get all three of the kids excited about the same game at the same time, but Slam Cup from Blue Orange has done it! In the past week, I’ve heard each of them suggest playing it, and the other two drop what they’re doing and run to play. It has quickly become one of my kids’ favorite games.

They even got Grandma to play with them, who usually is anti-games, and she loved it.

Quick Stats

The box recommends 6+, but Purpleicious (4) had no problem with it, so don’t let that deter you if your kids are a bit younger. We found it to be most exciting with four players, but it was fun with any amount we tried. The rounds are very quick, so it is an excellent option for anytime your kids need a game that won’t take too much time.

The Components

Slam Cup contains 24 hard plastic stacking cups and a base that has a springy center. The die has the colors painted on, not stickers, which is great. Everything is an excellent quality to stand up to continuous slamming.

The Game Play

Slam Cup is extremely easy to learn. You race against your opponents to match your cups inside color to the outside color of the cup that was previously played. It’s fast-paced and lots of fun. This is a game that my kids can completely play independently. Although I love playing games with them, it is always nice to have some they pull out on their own.

Conclusion

Slam Cup has quickly become one of my kids’ favorite games, and I would recommend it to anyone with kids. I especially love how easy it is to learn and the fast-paced, quick gameplay. You can get your own copy of Slam Cup here!
